Uncle Shiro comes with children’s favourite acts!


Shiro Ito, the former director of the Puppet Theater HITOMI-ZA and popular with his nickname Uncle Shiro, brings 2 one-man performances to the festival.

“Punch’s Fight”
Based on the English puppetry with 350 year history, “Punch’s Fight” is a slapstick in which Punch knocks out policeman, crocodile and even the Death with his bludgeon.

“Snow White”
This is a ‘Box Theatre’ that the puppets move on the box which Uncle Shiro slings over his shoulders.
Based on the story of Snow White, children will enjoy the quiz and interactions with Uncle Shiro.
