The current situation and future of the performing arts for the youngest audiences

Theme: Theatre for the Very Young


Baby Drama, Under-three, Small Size...the performing art for the very young audiences is a big trend, called with various names. For the last few years, the Japan Union of Theatrical Companies for Children and Young Poeple (Jienkyo) has also started to make researches and creations. This year, Jienkyo invites Roberto Frabetti, the director from La Baracca, a Bologna-based company who pioneer this area, to talk why the very young audiences need performing arts and to introduce their works. We will also invite Diana Kržanić Tepavac, President of ASSITEJ Serbia, to introduce what is happening around the world.
